UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of his re-appointment as the Prime Minister of Armenia. It is said in the congratulatory message:
"Your Excellency,
I would like to send you my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your re-appointment as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, while wishing you success during your term of office.
Armenia is an important partner of the United Nations in achieving our common goals, which are centered around the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".
I am sure that under your leadership, the Government of Armenia will continue to play a constructive role in strengthening democratic institutions, accelerating actions against climate change, promoting gender equality, human rights, and regional peace and security. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I encourage your Government to redouble its efforts in terms of women's political participation, including achieving gender equality in the Government and high-ranking positions.
