Italy continues to be under the influence of African heat. A "red" danger level has been declared in 25 cities, the temperature reaches 40 degrees.
Only Messina and Reggio di Calabria were left off the list, while the rest of the country continues to struggle with abnormally high temperatures and stifling heat. The Civil Protection Agency has issued a yellow warning for parts of Abruzzo, Umbria and Sicily due to the risk of thunderstorms, although the overall weather picture will continue to be dominated by an African anticyclone.
The temperature in Italy is not expected to drop until August 8. The Ministry of Health has warned of a serious threat to people's health, which concerns not only vulnerable groups, but also the entire population.
