All three factions of the National Assembly of the 9th convocation of Armenia have elected their leaders and secretaries, which was announced from the podium of the parliament in its first session with a new composition on August 2.
Arusyak Manavazyan was elected the head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling "Civil Agreement" party, and Volodya Hakobyan was elected as its secretary.
The parliamentary faction of the opposition "Strong Armenia" bloc was headed by Narek Karapetyan, and the position of secretary was occupied by Tigran Abrahamyan.
Anna Grigoryan was elected the head of the parliamentary faction of the opposition "Hayastan" alliance, and Artur Khachatryan was elected its secretary.
In the National Assembly of the 9th convocation, "Civil Agreement" has 64 parliamentary mandates, "Strong Armenia" has 29, and "Armenia" has 12 mandates.
