Iranian authorities have announced that the country is preparing for the worst scenarios

Iran has started preparing for a possible long-term crisis by building reserves for the next two years, the country's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said, Fars news agency reported.

According to him, the government is already engaged in the creation of the necessary reserves, but it has not specified exactly what kind of reserves we are talking about.

Aref emphasized that the main task of the authorities remains to maintain peace in the society. At the same time, he said, the state is developing action plans "even for the most unfavorable development of events".

The announcement was made against the background of ongoing conflict and tensions in the region.
