Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis believes that it is necessary to immediately suspend Spain's membership of the Schengen zone and temporarily implement border control at the country's borders due to the situation with migrants in Ceuta.
This was reported by the CTK news agency. According to the agency, Babish considers the situation "scandalous and the Spanish government is responsible for it." At the same time, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Machinka described the situation as extremely difficult.
He called the situation created in Ceuta a challenge not only for Madrid, but also for the European Union and the Schengen zone, which guarantees freedom of movement without internal border control.
However, in a conversation with journalists, he emphasized, Prague is waiting to see what steps Madrid will take, and he views the situation as a consequence of neglecting migration risks.
