US President Donald Trump prefers Vice President J.D. as the Republican presidential candidate in the 2028 elections. Vancey, while his feelings towards Secretary of State Marco Rubio have cooled somewhat, reports MS Now, citing several informed sources.
"President Donald Trump's informal selection of his 2028 successor appears to be over, at least for now," the report said.
Until recently, Trump considered Vance and Rubio as candidates, but that stopped several weeks ago, five sources told the channel. Sources said Trump was impressed by the vice president's ability to hold his own in a less-than-friendly environment while communicating the administration's position.
