The Iraqi authorities will not allow any part of the country to be used to create threats against Iran or to destabilize its security. Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi announced this during a meeting with Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran.
"No point in the territory of Iraq will become a source of threats or instability against the Islamic Republic of Iran," his words were reported by the Iranian IRNA agency.
The Prime Minister noted that Baghdad will not tolerate any hostile actions against Iran and is ready to continue cooperation in the field of security.
He also thanked Tehran for its support in the fight against the "Islamic State" group in Iraq.
