The European Union imposed new sanctions against Russia, which apply to 48 individuals and 170 legal entities.
Three oil refineries operating in Russia, one oil refinery in Belarus, as well as a company engaged in the sale of Belarusian fuel in Russia were also included in the sanctions list with new restrictions.
In addition, the EU has banned transactions with the Kulevi oil refinery in Georgia, which processes Russian oil. This restriction will take effect after six months.
The new sanctions also provide for additional controls on the sale of tankers carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Russia. In particular, a mandatory notification of the sale of such tanks should be submitted in order to exclude their possible resale to Russia.
