30 French politicians called to boycott the COP29 conference in Baku and "lead the campaign for the release of Armenian hostages and the restoration of Armenia's territorial integrity".

Thirty French politicians called on the French government to boycott the COP29 conference, which should start on November 11 in Baku. This is reported by Le Figaro. They condemned France's participation in this event, considering it support for the autocratic and corrupt regime of Azerbaijan, as well as ignoring the threats against Armenia.

"Human rights organizations, such as Human Rights Watch and Freedom Now, have reported on the oppression of civil society in Azerbaijan, as well as harassment of political prisoners, including humanitarian and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, and 22 Armenian hostages," the newspaper writes. :

Politicians note that it is impossible to talk about environmental protection while ignoring the political pressures and violence taking place in the host country. They call on the French government to send a signal to the Aliyev government by boycotting COP29 and leading an international campaign for the release of Armenian hostages, the return of 120,000 refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, and the restoration of Armenia's territorial integrity.
