The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed the head of a sniper battalion of the Palestinian military wing of Hamas, which participated in attacks on Israeli troops, the IDF spokesperson's office reported.
"Yesterday (Wednesday), IDF forces killed Omar Ahmed Abu Qassem, commander of the sniper battalion of the military wing of Hamas, in a precision strike in central Gaza," the statement said. It is noted that Abu Qassem participated in the attacks on the IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman's office claims that the radical was trying to restore the military wing of Hamas.
