During the service carried out in the capital from July 6 to 13, Yerevan patrols detected 3,740 violations of traffic rules, moving 176 cars to a special protected area.
In particular, 179 drunk drivers, 125 people without a driver's license were found. There were 33 license plate violations, 624 driving without a seat belt, 10 without a child seat, 10 for smoking while driving, 216 for using a phone while driving, 5 for crossing a pedestrian crossing, and 1,197 other violations.
18 cars were operated without an insurance contract, 97 without a technical inspection, 135 with malfunctioning headlights, 40 with film-coated windshield and side windows. In addition, 75 people were arrested on various suspicions and taken to Community Police Departments.
During the same period, patrols in marzes discovered 13,826 violations of road traffic rules, moving 184 vehicles to special protected areas. 349 drunk drivers, 361 persons without driver's license were found.
There were also 61 license plate violations, 3,711 driving without a seat belt, 297 without a child seat, 499 for smoking while driving, 646 for using a phone while driving, 96 for crossing a pedestrian crossing, 2,477 for speeding, and 4,228 other violations.
91 cars were operated without an insurance contract, 484 without a technical inspection, 485 with malfunctioning headlights, 123 with film-covered windshield and side windows. 12 drivers were fined for using non-standard amplifiers while driving. In addition, 36 people were arrested on various suspicions and taken to the regional departments of the Community Police.
