Six people died as a result of a forest fire in the province of Almeria in the south-east of Spain, the authorities of the autonomous community of Andalusia said. The fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in Los Gallardos municipality. It is reported that some of the victims were found dead in their burned cars.
"This is terrible news. On behalf of the Andalusian government, I would like to express our sorrow and condolences to the families of the six people who died in this fire," Regional Health Minister Antonio Sanz said in a statement.
