The officers of the "Sevan" regional department of the operative department of the central body of the penitentiary service received information that an attempt will be made to hand over a large amount of prohibited items to the convict.
Realizing the received information, the officers of the same territorial department together with the officers of the security department of the "Sevan" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RA, on November 7, at around 1:00 p.m., examined the handout brought by the citizen in the name of convict M.H. the refrigerator.
During the inspection, the officers found 34 mobile phones, 30 USB cables, 5 earphones, 5 subscription cards and 3 charger heads packed with adhesive tapes and construction foam from a cleverly prepared hiding place in the upper part of the refrigerator.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated in connection with the case. The Penitentiary Service urges to refrain from illegal activities and to strictly observe the requirements set by law for visiting penitentiary institutions.
