The Croatian national team defeated Ghana in the third round of the 2026 World Cup group stage and qualified for the playoffs.
The match of Group L in Philadelphia ended with the victory of the Croatians with a score of 2:1. Petar Suchic and Nikola Vlasic scored the winners, and Derrick Lukasen scored the only goal for the Ghanaian team.
After this result, the Croatian team earned 6 points and took the second position in the L group.
Ghana finished the top three with 4 points. Both teams secured their place in the 1/16 finals of the World Cup. It should be noted that the first place in the group was taken by the English national team with 7 points.
