Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the signing of the document between the US, Israel and Lebanon

The President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, referred to the agreement reached with the US and Israel, and noted that it is the first step that will allow the displaced population to return to their homes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated that the signing of the document was a blow to Iran, because ISIS will continue to stay in southern Lebanon until the threat to Israel disappears.

Since the signing of the agreement, the Lebanon-Israel border has been largely quiet, but it was later announced that an Israeli drone had struck the Nabataean region. No injuries were reported.

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also welcomed the signing of the document, thanking the US for mediation and stressing that there can be no peace in the Middle East if Lebanon is on fire. The official added that the EU has raised 100 million euros for humanitarian aid to the displaced.
