US ambassador Marco Rubio sent a ceremonial gift to Ararat Mirzoyan after leaving Armenia. Let's remember that on May 26, Ararat Mirzoyan had a short meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at Zvartnots Airport, during which documents were signed. Days after this meeting, ceremonial gifts addressed to Mirzoyan, a plate and a bowl, were transferred to Armenia from the US Embassy on behalf of the US Secretary of State.
These gifts arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 10. We learned from the Corruption Prevention Commission that the plate and bowl are of the "Salisbury Pewer" brand and are made of tin. The plate is valued at 175 thousand 200 drams, and the bowl at 91 thousand 280 drams.
It should be noted that the declaration of expensive gifts received by high-ranking officials is carried out as required by law.
