Turkey signed a historic deal with a NATO member country



For the first time, Turkey has sold a warship to the naval forces of Romania, a member of NATO.

Cam. was handed over to Romania during the ceremony held in Istanbul. Roman. the corvette. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Romanian President Nikushor Dan took part in the event.

"Our military shipbuilding industry is experiencing the most intensive and productive period in the 103-year history of the Republic of Turkey. We are one of the countries that simultaneously build the largest number of warships. By signing the agreement with Romania, Turkey has exported a military ship to a NATO and European Union member country for the first time in its history," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

The President of Turkey noted that in recent years, Turkey has built more than 140 marine platforms and ships for different regions of the world.
