British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will decide this weekend whether to stay in office or not, reports The Times, referring to its sources.
According to the publication, despite publicly announcing his desire to remain prime minister, Starmer has admitted in private conversations with allies that many members of the ruling Labor Party want him to resign.
According to the publication, the Prime Minister will make a decision on his resignation at the weekend, after a conversation with his wife, Victoria, and other family members.
On 19 June, Starmer announced that he would not voluntarily resign, after Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham won a by-election to the House of Commons (the lower house of the UK Parliament). It is believed that he may now challenge Starmer for the leadership, having lost the support of the left wing of the Labor Party.
