"Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, speaking to us in the National Assembly, referring to the volume of exports, noted that they are increasing, and the quality of Armenian products is not inferior to European ones. There is only one problem, yes, logistics is complicated, logistics is long, far away. Closed borders, landlocked, long transit times, these naturally affect price and affect price competitiveness.
In terms of quality, Armenian products do not have a problem of competitiveness, and the times have long passed when they said who will buy our products, ours is not of high quality. The strawberry that is produced in Armenia is the strawberry that is produced in France. It is grown with the same methods and technology, and there is nothing that makes it different.
- But in that case, how did it happen that Armenian products still have problems exporting to new markets?
- Only the fact that people exported their products to Russia for years, and now to Greece, is already a shock for them. They have to learn something new, there are legislative problems related to the new transit."
