"Iravunk" newspaper writes:
"During the government session held yesterday, Nikol Pashinyan announced that, "Currently, we will deal with the issue of settling the problems created in the EAEU".
According to sources close to Nikol, Pashinyan, realizing that the economy will be dealt a terrible blow as a result of Russia's sanctions, internally appealed to the Russian leadership with a proposal to hold a referendum on the issue of the EU or EAEU by the end of the year, simultaneously putting the issue of constitutional changes in the referendum.
However, Pashinyan predicts that he will lose in both issues and, again according to the above news, he promises to hand over the post of Prime Minister to Mher Grigoryan, who has the experience of representing Armenia in the EAEU, which implies, on the one hand, the freezing of the convergence course with the EU, and on the other, the rejection of the demands of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
In return, Nikol asks to stop the sanctions against Armenian products, and he plans to take the position of Vahagn Khachatryan, who does not decide anything in Armenia.
Judging by the fact that the sanctions were not only not lifted, but also intensified, and Pashinyan did not receive a congratulation from the Russian President, Nikol's proposal was not approved in the Russian Federation.
