The continuous military operations of the USA against Iran pose a threat of economic disaster. US President Donald Trump admitted this at the press conference after participating in the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains.
"I didn't want to see one thing. I did not want to see an economic disaster. If you had continued this, it could have happened," he said, commenting on the agreement reached between Iran and the United States to end the conflict.
Officials of the United States, Iran and Pakistan, the mediator, approved the agreement between Washington and Tehran aimed at ending the war in the Middle East. The signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland.
According to Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, the 60-day ceasefire will include discussions on Tehran's nuclear program. The US naval blockade of Iran will end on June 15, along with an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon. The US and Israel started a war against Iran on February 28.
