The new Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Madyar, announced his intention to publish damaging information about the country's former government led by Viktor Orbán.
He noted that the published information will undermine the decisions of the congress of the "Fidesz-Hungarian Civil Union" party scheduled for June 13, which plans to re-elect Orbán as its leader. "On Saturday at 9 o'clock, I will hold an emergency press conference on one of the loudest frauds of the Orbán government.
Judging by the information we have, tomorrow's congress of the "Fidesz" party, where its leadership is to be elected, has lost its meaning. Those who participated in the biggest political deception of recent decades cannot represent the interests of Hungarians in the future," wrote Madyar in X.
The Tisa party, which won the parliamentary elections on April 12, and the new government formed by Madyar continue to accuse the former authorities of corruption and abuse of power.
Hungary's parliament has decided to set up five commissions to investigate possible violations of the law by Orbán's government, including in areas such as the operation of intelligence services and the privatization of state property.
