"It has been 10 days since the scandalous incident of violence against supporters of the Strong Armenia party and a pregnant woman in Masis, but the pre-investigative body is still not in a hurry to find the accused. We have learned that Arsen Harutyunyan, the head of the Masis branch of the Communist Party of Ukraine, as well as other participants in the incident, have been summoned to the Investigative Committee and questioned. However, according to everything, the pre-investigation body shows suspicious slowness during the investigation of the case. On June 2, 2026, a group of people in the Masis community obstructed the election campaign of the "Strong Armenia" bloc. In the circulated videos, it can be seen how a group of people hit and drag the representatives of the political force. A pregnant woman was also beaten.
The Investigative Committee reported that three reports were received regarding the incident in Masis, on the basis of which criminal proceedings were initiated: physical intervention by a group of persons (Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 of the RA Criminal Code), hooliganism (Article 297, Part 2, Clause 1) and obstructing election campaigning (Article 211, Part 2, Clause 5). The focus of the incident was Arsen Harutyunyan, the president of the Masis branch of the Communist Party of Ukraine. It should be noted that Arsen Harutyunyan, referring to the video, where, according to publications, it can be seen that he himself participated in the incident, and at least two people received bodily injuries and went to the hospital, said: "There are law enforcement agencies, let them deal with who provoked." Why should they block the road of our car, why should they come, get into our car, demand some things, say, "Will you answer for such and such, and call us Turks?" For what? That's not how we lived our lives. Even now we live peacefully and peacefully. I did not hit anyone and I did not prepare to hit anyone. I swear to you. Maybe I was just pushed to get into the car.''
