The United States is able to contribute to the end of the conflict in Ukraine. Peskov

Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, stated that it is still too early to draw any conclusions about the foreign policy of Donald Trump, who won the US elections, including the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" writes.

According to Peskov, the optimism about Trump's victory, which can be seen in the comments of Russian politicians, is quite understandable. Along with Trump's rather tough statements, "there were also statements that testified to his peace-making aspirations in the international arena" and "his intention to break the spiral of continuation of old wars and outbreaks of new wars."

At the same time, the official representative of the Kremlin noted that when the elected president enters the Oval Office, "his statements sometimes take on a different tone." noting that, of course, it is not possible to do it in one day, but within a few months it is quite possible. For this, according to him, Washington should "stop pouring kerosene and provoking conflict".

"But will it be done and how, if so, we will see after January," Peskov stressed.
