"Fact" daily writes:
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's short "transit" landing at the "Zvartnots" airport and the signing of the framework agreement "in a hurry" gave rise to various discussions. After all, what was this trip on foot about?
The fact that this is part of pre-election logic is also documented by the US president's social media post, in which the latter expresses "full and complete support" to Nikol Pashinyan in the elections to be held on June 7, 2026.
Let's leave aside what would happen if the president of any other country made a statement about supporting any opposition force. there would be an immediate uproar in terms of interfering in Armenia's internal affairs. Much more important is why the US is so messed up.
It is obvious that they also understand very well that the current government of Armenia is losing in a shameful way. Accordingly, the US is in a hurry to quickly record its receipt with a new document that is beneficial to it, so that the next authorities cannot back down from their commitments.
As for the document itself, many experts emphasize at least two main dangerous circumstances to the detriment of Armenia. First, the actual circulating money will bypass Armenia, because even the profit will not be taxed in our country. The second issue concerns border control, in terms of which it is clearly stated that "Armenia agrees to use the services of private operators ('front office')".
For Armenia, it is simply stated that it has "the right to maintain a physical presence at all its border control points".
Actually, as the experts note, the authorities of Armenia give Azerbaijan a corridor, even through the USA, no matter how much they try to avoid that wording.
