Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has signed a decree banning the export of weapons-grade uranium, Reuters reports, citing senior Iranian sources. It is noted that the decree shows the hardening of Tehran's position regarding one of the main demands of the USA.
The directive of the leader of Iran can further disappoint Donald Trump and complicate the negotiations to end the war. The agency source added that senior Iranian officials believe that sending materials abroad could make the country more vulnerable to future attacks by the US and Israel.
Earlier, in an interview with "Vesti" news agency, the expert of the Center for Strategic Studies of Iran, Ali Akbar Daraini, stated that the transfer of enriched uranium reserves by Iran or their abandonment would be a betrayal of the scientists who sacrificed their lives for this national achievement.
