According to the publication of the "Past" daily, Armen Hovhannisyan, who was arrested for tearing Pashinyan's propaganda poster, displayed unbalanced behavior at the police station of the Artashat police department on May 16, around 9:30 a.m., was taken to a mental health center by ambulance, and then, according to the official version, committed suicide by hanging himself in the Nubarashen psychiatric hospital.
Proceedings were held in the investigative committee, charges had not been filed yet.
The paper claims that the government representatives have not issued any condolences or response, while the Human Rights Council said it will seek clarifications from the competent authorities. The publication sharply criticizes the government's attitude.
