Representatives of US President Donald Trump's administration and representatives of major American businesses who arrived in Beijing as part of his delegation did not bring their personal mobile phones and laptops with them, fearing that these devices could be hacked by Chinese intelligence agencies, Fox News reported.
According to the TV channel, American officials used temporary mobile phones and computers during the US president's state visit. According to the security briefing they received, they were advised not to connect their mobile devices to USBs as this poses a risk of downloading their data or installing malware on their mobile phones.
As the TV channel notes, similar security measures are taken not only by US officials, but also by high-ranking executives of Apple, Boeing, Qualcomm and BlackRock, who are traveling to China with the president.
