"Victory has no alternative. Today is the day of the liberation of Shushi, our sleepless demon, and at the same time, the day of our stolen and robbed joy. On this day, light and darkness have mixed together, but light has an amazing divine quality and power that always, even a single ray, defeats all the thickness of darkness, no matter how deep and extensive it is," Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan said in his speech on the occasion of May 9.
He wrote:
"I bow before our light martyrs. As I've always said, we owe it to you to pay us back. We owe a dream and victory to our heroes, our martyrs.
However unbelievable and hopeless it may seem to some, I believe in the coming Armenian Victory, because we will leave this world disgusted or blessed.
Shushi, the entire captured Artsakh homeland is looking at us... And our calling is to meet that look and once again be called the Nation of Victory and Loyalty.
And yes, the Armenian Coming Victory has no alternative."
