US President Donald Trump is convinced that the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is getting closer every day.

"Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of a very long, deadly and brutal war. Negotiations to end this major conflict continue, and we are getting closer every day," the US Prime Minister wrote on his Truth Social page.

He noted that Russia and Ukraine agreed on a ceasefire on May 9, 10 and 11, as well as 1,000 prisoners of war from each side.
