The US administration has decided to suspend Operation Freedom, which organizes the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, until it receives information that the negotiations on the deal with Iran can be successfully completed and an agreement reached. US President Donald Trump announced this.
He noted that the USA received a corresponding request from "Pakistan and other countries".
"We have mutually agreed that while the full blockade will remain, Project Freedom (ship passage through the Strait of Hormuz) will be temporarily suspended to see if negotiations can be concluded and an agreement signed," he wrote on Truth Social.
