The EU ambassador to Azerbaijan was summoned to the Foreign Ministry due to the adoption of a resolution on Armenia

On May 1, the Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan, Mariana Kuyuncic, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to the adoption of a resolution on Armenia. This is reported by the Azerbaijani mass media, referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

"During the meeting, the Foreign Ministry condemned the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on April 30, which contains unreasonable and biased provisions against Azerbaijan. In this regard, a note of protest was handed over to the other party.

It was noted that the provisions of this resolution distort the reality, contradict the principles of objectivity, as well as the obligations to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states.

The enemy country stated that, despite the reintegration plan presented in accordance with the Constitution of Azerbaijan in 2023, the Armenian residents left the region voluntarily, and statements to the contrary do not correspond to reality.

It was also noted that calls for the release of prisoners of war are unacceptable from a legal point of view.
