The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan sent a note of protest to the EU ambassador for the European Parliament's resolution on Armenia

The EU ambassador in Baku, Mariana Kuyuncic, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and was presented with a note of protest regarding the resolution "Support to democratic stability in Armenia" adopted by the European Parliament yesterday.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. "During the meeting, the groundless and biased provisions against our country contained in the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on April 30 were strongly condemned, and a note of protest was presented to the ambassador in this regard," the statement said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the provisions of the resolution "distort reality, contradict the principles of objectivity and the commitment to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states." It was noted that this approach of the European Parliament negatively affects the process of regulating relations in the region, as well as the prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union, the statement added.
