Parallel to the anti-Russian actions of the Armenian authorities, new sanctions lists against Armenia are being developed in Russia, which are already available in open sources, and they are openly talking about them. Among the steps that provoke anti-Russian actions, the visit of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to Armenia is considered.
Thus: the Russian side plans restrictions on the import of seasonal agricultural products and flowers from Armenia to Russia, as well as on the purchase of some mining products (molybdenum ore, decorative stone, etc.) from Armenia. The other package, which is more dangerous, refers to the revision of the agreements on nuclear waste utilization of Metsamor nuclear power plant.
In other words, the waste will no longer be taken from Armenia, and in our country there are no appropriate conditions to dispose of it, and this may lead to an ecological disaster. In addition to this, individual restrictions on the real estate and financial assets of Armenian businessmen and civil servants in the Russian Federation, the demonstrative deportation of some of them from the Russian Federation, the ban on entry, etc.
