The US wants to weaken Iran's defense capabilities before the next war by demanding that it stop enriching uranium. This was announced by Ebrahim Rezai, the official spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament.
"The enemy is pressuring Iran to remove or dilute (Iran's) enriched uranium and reduce enrichment levels to zero in order to try to neutralize Iran's deterrent power in the next war so that the project of (Islamic Republic) destruction and disintegration can proceed unhindered," he wrote in X.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran had agreed to transfer enriched uranium from the sites struck in June last year to the US. Before that, he wrote on his Truth Social page that Tehran will no longer enrich uranium. Moreover, according to the head of the White House, the US will remove its enriched uranium "in cooperation with Iran". There is no confirmation from Tehran yet.
