US President Donald Trump spoke with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, the Axios journalist reported, referring to a Lebanese official.
"President Trump spoke with Lebanese President Aoun," he wrote on the X social network.
Earlier, CNN, citing an unnamed Lebanese official, reported that Aoun refused to negotiate with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a possible cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon, despite the fact that Trump had previously announced talks between the two leaders this week.
