The "Strong Armenia" party led by Samvel Karapetyan published the list of the first 36 candidates of the pre-election list after its closed congress.
It is noteworthy that the list does not include the names of Harutyun Harutyunyan, chairman of the "New Era" party, and Nairi Sargsyan, the honorary chairman of the "United Armenians" party, authorized representative, with whom Narek Karapetyan signed a memorandum last week on forming an alliance called "Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan". We tried to find out from the spokesperson of "Strong Armenia" Marianna Ghahramanyan why those names are not included.
He only said that the pre-election list will be fully published on April 11, during the planned unity rally on Freedom Square. After the latest amendments to the EC, the use of personal names in the case of parties and alliances is prohibited.
