On April 2, the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia received the protocol of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia "Regarding the termination of the powers of the Deputy of the National Assembly Tadevos Avetisyan". The CEC gave the mandate of the deputy elected from the electoral list of the "Haystan" bloc of the National Assembly and whose powers were prematurely terminated to Gagik Sargsi Hambardzumyan, the next candidate of the first part of the same electoral list. In order to conduct an observation mission for the elections of the National Assembly on June 7, 2026, the CEC has adopted a decision on sending an invitation to a foreign non-governmental organization, the International Republican Institute (IRI). In another decision, the CEC approved the application of the NGO "Armenian Progressive Youth" to the CEC regarding the accreditation of observers for the purpose of conducting an observation mission to the National Assembly elections.
