US Vice President J.D. Vance, the president's special envoy Steve Wittkoff and the son-in-law of the White House, Jared Kushner, will participate in the US-Iran talks to be held in Islamabad, CNN reported on April 7, citing US administration officials.
It is expected that they will participate in the peace talks with Iran to be held in Islamabad. According to sources, the US-Iran talks in Islamabad will be held in the presence of Pakistani representatives who will act as mediators.
Islamabad may be added to Vance's foreign travel plans, currently in Hungary. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif invited the delegations of Iran and the US to Islamabad for talks on April 10.
