According to the forecasts of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, on April 8-10, wind intensification at a speed of 24-27 m/s is expected in some regions of the republic.
Levon Azizyan, director of the center, explained in detail on his social media page what kind of danger a wind of such strength can represent.
"According to RA government's decision N 1181 of September 13, 2012, the wind of such a speed can cause significant damage, including breaking or uprooting trees.
In case of strong wind, it is recommended to:
avoid open spaces, especially those with tall trees;
be alert near buildings with loose or weakly reinforced structures;
if you are on the street or in an open area, stay away from power poles and light poles;
beware of various objects flying in the wind.
Be alert and follow official messages," Azizyan wrote on his social network page.
