The process related to Iran is going to a dead end. Erdogan to the Secretary General of NATO

On April 4, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed regional and global developments, as well as issues related to the alliance, during a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

During the conversation, Erdogan stated that the process related to Iran is heading towards a geostrategic impasse and called on the international community to intensify efforts to stop the war.

Emphasizing NATO's support for Turkey's air defense system, Erdogan noted that the solidarity shown during this process has once again confirmed the Alliance's deterrence potential. The President of Turkey stated that he continues his efforts to resolve the conflict between Ukraine and Russia peacefully.

He expressed hope that the NATO summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8 will adopt decisions aimed at increasing the resistance and efficiency of the Alliance in the face of future challenges.
