The authorities of Iran executed two members of the terrorist group "Mojahedin-e Khalq" (Organization of Iranian People's Mujahideen banned in Iran), who were found guilty of terrorism, reports the Iranian "Tasnim" news agency.
According to the agency, the two terrorists were hanged in Tehran, after the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic confirmed their death sentence.
The agency notes that the militants, under foreign guidance, carried out a number of armed attacks and bombings in the capital of Iran. They were also responsible for financial support, workshops for the assembly of small rocket launchers and improvised bombs, and the rental of safe houses for other members of the group to hide out.
According to some reports, they received funds in cryptocurrency from foreign coordinators.
