The United States does not need supplies through the Strait of Hormuz. the countries that use it for the transportation of oil should be responsible for restoring navigation on it.
This was announced by US President Donald Trump during a televised address to the nation from the White House regarding the US-Israeli operation in Iran. "The United States almost does not import oil through the Strait of Hormuz and will not import it in the future. We don't need it. And the countries that receive oil through the Strait of Hormuz should take care of it.
We will help, but they must take a leading role in protecting the oil on which they depend so much," the US president emphasized.
