Daily shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped by more than 95% since the start of the US-Israeli military operation against Iran. These figures are cited in a report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
"Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is paralyzed. transit traffic has fallen by more than 95%, leading to disruptions in energy and fertilizer supplies,” the report states.
According to the organization, the daily transit through the strait did not exceed 10 ships in early March, while it averaged 103 in the last week of February.
