US President Donald Trump would like Washington to take control of Iran's oil industry. He announced this in an interview with the Financial Times. Speaking about Iran, the American leader said that he would "prefer to take the oil".


"Honestly, I would like to take the oil from Iran the most, but some stupid people in the US say why are you doing this?" But they are stupid," added the head of the Washington administration.


At the government meeting on March 26, the American leader also stated that he considers US control over Iranian oil as one of the possible options.
