Qatar-based Arab TV channel Al Araby reported that its office building in Tehran was hit, calling the attack a violation of international law.
"Al Araby TV station condemns the attack on its office in Tehran, the capital of Iran. endangering journalists is a violation of international law," the TV channel's staff said in a statement.
As reported by Hazem Kallas, the correspondent of the TV channel in Tehran, the attack on the building happened suddenly, at 14:45 local time, during the live broadcast.
According to him, a few minutes after the explosion, rescue teams of the Iranian Red Crescent and Civil Defense arrived at the scene, and they are still cleaning the rubble. He noted that the building is in danger of collapsing and cannot be used, although some offices were not damaged.
At the same time, Al Araby TV channel noted that its employees continue to provide comprehensive and professional coverage of military operations.
