Iran has stopped supplying gas to Turkey after Israel struck a major gas field in South Pars. This is reported by Bloomberg, referring to sources.
According to the agency, in 2025, Iran accounted for 14% of Turkey's gas imports. The sources say that Ankara continues to receive gas from Russia and Azerbaijan and uses the existing reserves. The timetable for the resumption of supplies from Iran is still unknown.
On March 18, the head of Asaluye district (Iran's Bushehr province) reported that a fire broke out in several facilities of the South Pars mine by Israel and the United States. Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (an elite unit of Iran's armed forces) has announced its intention to strike oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar in the near future.
