Qatar has accused Iran of violating the Civil Aviation Convention

Qatar's permanent representation in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has sent a complaint to the ICAO Council President regarding the violation of the Convention on International Civil Aviation related to Iran's attacks on the territory of Qatar, the Emirate's Civil Aviation General Department announced.

"The permanent representation of Qatar in ICAO has sent an official letter to ICAO Council President Toshiyuki Ohnuma, in which it is stated that aggression by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the State of Qatar is a gross violation of state sovereignty and the provisions of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation," the department noted.

In its message to ICAO, the mission stated that Qatar has the right to act in accordance with international law.
