"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"Last weekend, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan went to the border Syunik marz by bus with his teammates. The visit of CP members was actively covered on government information platforms, but a remarkable circumstance did not escape the attention of "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper. The heads of the communities did not welcome the Prime Minister in any of the communities of the region. "Zhoghovurd" daily noted that during the entire visit Pashinyan and his teammates were accompanied only by Syunik marz governor Robert Ghukasyan.
In one of the video frames, Arush Arushanyan, the head of the community of Goris, can be seen at one point, whose name, as it was seen from the footage, Pashinyan probably did not remember when greeting him and greeted him simply by addressing him as "head of the community". At the same time, the leaders of Meghri, Kapan and Kajaran communities are not visible in the official campaign footage. This circumstance is even more remarkable if we remember that the leaders of these communities used to be considered among the toughest opponents of the government.
They had once united in the Resurgent Armenia party formed around Vahe Hakobyan and were included in the Armenia bloc, supporting the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan.
Today, however, the situation has changed. Vahe Hakobyan is under investigation, his party has effectively stopped its activities, and the leaders of the same communities have either become loyal to the current government, or are already closer to the government with their political positions."
