The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran confirmed the news of the injury of the new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei

Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is injured but feeling well, according to Esmail Baghai, spokesman for the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"He is injured, but he feels good. I don't know when he will make his first speech.

"Three or four people were competing for the position of supreme leader, but the majority of the Council of Experts chose him," he said in an interview with the Italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera".
